THURSDAY 23 OCTOBER 2008am i even alive? |
| FINALLY I'M back I suppose. After a bit of a hiatus I'm back into shooting full time both for class, the newspaper and for myself. Finally got into film this year and I'm having a blast with it - most of the current gallery is 35mm film (save for the three color shots and the sunrise on Mt. Whitney). Photography is just damn fun and exciting to me, no matter how much I do it, and I'm glad it's the path I'm taking both for my education and hopefully my life. Teaching continues to be more and more attractive - ideally I'd get my MFA and teach at a school like Lewis and Clark.
Obviously not all of my photos are posted in my gallery. For a more up-to-date collection scope my Flickr at flickr. It's not comprehensive, as the images rotate as far as my storage limitations. As far as the future of TOC goes - look in the next week or so to see a new gallery go up for sports stuff. Long term plans are looking at a full flash site from LiveBooks for a more professional and simple feel, as I attempt to get my name out for some internships. I've missed you (imaginary readers) guys! |

I ADDED some sports stuff to the image gallery. Hopefully I can start putting up some design stuff this week, depending on what was lost in the great hard drive death of 2008.

I UPDATED the gallery page with a slicker way to view the photos. Unfortunately, I had a hard drive die today and thus lost all of my photos along with the whole music collection (which had just been redone after a different HDD death. Time to start over, I suppose.

THURSDAY 22 MAY 2008summer |
|
IT'S WARM and breezy. M83 ruled my world last night. Feels like it's officially summer as people are home and the biking is amazing. Going to take a break from sports photography this summer as I need to explore some other stuff - in any event without college events to shoot its just not quite as fun. Looking to dump the 70-200 and grab a 35 or something. website is mostly done, and it's looking nice thus far I believe.

IT'S 1:41AM and I again end up on The Oxford Comma. A few more tinkers tonight to bring the place up to another meager level. Tonight I travel to see M83, yesterday I crashed my bike. Bummer. Overall structure for the front page is beginning to flesh out, next project is to begin filling in the art pages. Maybe today, maybe later.

MONDAY 19 MAY 2008and, begin |

I'M SITTING in seat 13 beginning to create The Oxford Comma, whatever it may be. Currently it's a place to experiment, learn and showcase. I'd like to try new things while creating the page, stretching my previous creative limitations. I certainly know little of web design, so hopefully I can pick up on some of that as well. And finally, what artist lacks a place to showcase their work? A photographer first, designer second, The Oxford Comma will be the web repository of my work.
Enjoy the show. |
